And the point is whatever stereotypes people have about vampires are irrelevant due to the fact that, in the novel to which Colan made reference, vampires do not die/sizzle/turn a delicious golden brown in the sunlight. End of.  We, the team at TMRTDM, have never made any suggestions that sunlight causes vampires to sizzle. We did suggest they were nocturnal.
